Pan Pacific Scout Jamboree 1959 - 50th Anniversary Display

Stories, mementos and photographs will feature in this display recalling the 1959 Pan Pacific Scout Jamboree held at Cornwall Park and One Tree Hill Domain. Scouts from all over the world attended the event with over 8000 participants taking part. Were you one of them?
If you attended take a quiet trip down memory lane and we want to record your memories.

There will be action packed modern scout activities with a ' Live Day' that will showcase the fun and adventure that is modern Scouts. There will be opportunities for families to register their 6 – 18 year old children to join their local Scout Groups and an opportunity to talk with Scouts past and present about this 100 year old adventure based organisation. Come along to Cornwall Park on Sunday the 27th September from 10am – 3pm and be a part of the action. Cornwall Park Information Centre at the historic Huia Lodge will be open for visitors to view the historical material from Saturday 19th September to Sunday 11th October, daily 10am to 4pm, and of course on the actual Open Day, Sunday the 27th of September. Come and join in the fun and to find a local Scout Group near you!
