SKYCITY Auckland is proud to present a rare opportunity to celebrate some of New Zealand’s most successful singer/songwriters whose voices and songs have impacted the history of New Zealand music. Top New Zealand artists Margaret Urlich, Sharon O’Neill, Debbie Harwood, Annie Crummer, Shona Laing, Julia Deans and new talent Lisa Crawley are coming together in September for ‘Give It A Girl’ at SkyCity Theatre.

"Give It A Girl" brings together the amazing talents of these women on one stage at one time for a night packed with classic hits including ‘Glad I’m Not a Kennedy’ Shona Laing, ‘Escaping’ Margaret Urlich, ‘See What Love Can Do’ Annie Crummer, ‘Maxine’ Sharon O’Neill plus the current singles and songwriting of these enduring and remarkable women. A two-hour show with a full six-piece band featuring the talents of Alan Mansfield – acclaimed producer and keyboard player for Dragon, Robert Palmer, Bette Midler, Pat Benetar and Doc Neeson. The four shows, from 2 - 5 September at the Auckland SKYCITY Theatre, are expected to sell-out.

• Annie Crummer – One of the greatest singers in NZ Music history with a successful solo recording career – ‘See What Love Can Do’, ‘Seven Waters’, ‘Language’ and a new album due for release

• Shona Laing – ‘Glad I’m Not a Kennedy’, ‘Soviet Snow’, ‘Fear Of Falling’

• Debbie Harwood – Six NZ music awards, two acclaimed albums ‘Peaches’
& ‘Soothe Me’ and spearheaded the success of When the Cat’s Away

• Julia Deans – Fur Patrol rocker … and her monstrous No1 hit ‘Lydia’

• New Talent Lisa Crawley – Best known currently as Norah Jones in the final episode of ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ - Lisa is a multi-instrumentalist and writer of beautiful original songs

    What an awesome Kiwiana Diva concert. These 7 women are Taonga. A relaxed atmosphere of 7 amazing women made it seem as though they were performing to friends and family, which in many ways they were.
    There are 2 nights to go in Auckland and I would strongly recommend you check them out.
