Revamped Relics: An exhibition of the wonderful variety of art, craft and jewellery created by the Turning Point Trust artists. The vast majority of the exhibits will have a 'revamped' element - we think of it as upcycling more than recycling, creating new glories from old relics. The week-long exhibition has some of the creations for sale at reasonable prices, some just for show - all well worth a visit!
Culminating with the What Recession? Day Expo on Friday 9 October - celebrating the mental/physical connections which help us go with the flow & not worry about economic issues! What does recession matter if you can have a day out with friends & family? What does recession matter if you can try out new activities for little or no charge & be entertained? All sorts of local organisations come together to create a marvellous day out with activities including marching, belly dance and tai chi (and so much more).
Information from a wide variety of groups and how their activity/support can assist everyone's well-being during times of tight finances.
What Recession? Day will unfortunately be cancelled if it rains, but Revamped Relics is under cover & open rain or shine!
