About Jess Chambers: Wellington-based singer-songwriter. Winner of APRA Best Country Song of the Year 2009. Shortlisted for upcoming APRA 'Silver Scroll' Award 2009.

Born to an American mother and Kiwi father, Jess Chambers spent equal time growing up in sunny California and the chilly South Island of New Zealand before settling in Wellington in 2002. In the close-knit and vibrant environment of New Zealand’s creative Capital, the singer/songwriter seamlessly bonded with like- minded musicians and established herself as a solo and collaborative artist.

Has worked with Justin "Firefly" Clarke, Rhian Sheehan, Module, The Upbeats, Minuit, Antix, Raze (US), Phoney Orphants (Sweden), The Woolshed Sessions. Supports include The Fleetfoxes (US), K.T. Tunstall (UK), Sarah Harmer (CA), Bic Runga.

About Tim Guy (from Amplifier.co.nz): "Tim Guy is originally from Melbourne, but these days he calls Auckland home. Back in 2002 he met singer/songwriter Bic Runga backstage after one of her gigs and gave her a demo tape of a few of his songs. Bic liked them so much she offered to produce his album and she ended up playing drums and guitar and lending her voice to the material as well..."

Intimate and acoustic, the tour will include theatres and cabaret style venues, chosen for their ability to allow the audience to truly experience the delicacy of Jess’ music.
Jess will perform songs from her debut album 'Jess Chambers and the Firefly Orchestra', from 'The Woolshed Sessions' acclaimed album as well as some new songs yet to be recorded.
She will be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Peter Hill (Rhombus, The Woolshed Sessions), and supported by Tim Guy.
