Guest speaker is Beijing Olympic Gold Medal Winner Valerie Vili. Valerie outclassed a strong shot put field to win New Zealand’s first Olympic athletics gold medal in 32 years. Valerie’s gold medal completes an amazing sequence. She has now won world youth, junior and senior titles, plus Commonwealth Games and Olympic gold. For someone aged only 24 in a mature person’s sport, it is an amazing list of successes. We are delighted that Valerie has agreed to be our guest speaker and we invite you to join us to enjoy the occasion along with supporting the work of the Halberg Trust.
