There are 100 essential New Zealand films we need to watch according to Hamish McDouall. And he should know — he spent months in a darkened room watching films until he came up with his list — then wrote a book about it. McDouall will be talking about his new book '100 Essential New Zealand Films' and revealing just how he managed to watch so many films in such a short time. His talk will be followed by a screening of ‘In My Father’s Den’, which features in his book and was adapted from the Maurice Gee novel. People can bring in wine and pizza from the café next door. A New Zealand Book Month event.
Tickets $10. Book through Pene Walsh (06) 867 6709
