None Left Standing Album Release Party

Time Is Now is the punk-rock musical child of four of Christchurch’s most prolific punk and metal musicians. Although still in their twenties, Tom Waugh, Ant Day, Jonno Wheeler and his brother Matt “Whoops” Wheeler, have been in over ten bands between them but have now found ‘the one’ in None Left Standing.

With their metal, funk and punk seeds combined, the resulting sound is old-school, driving, jumping, punk rock - reminiscent of bands such as Sommerset, Brubeck, Refused, Rise Against and Mellencolin.

None Left Standing’s fast-paced, energetic live shows have been well-received on South Island Tours, playing with bands such as Falter and Roof Dog and being invited to perform with Deja Vooddo on their upcoming tour.

At the end of 2007 NLS recorded the first five songs they ever wrote and released them on The Ultimate Insult EP. Now, with two years of writing and performing behind them, they have returned to the studio to record their debut self-funded/released album. Time is Now is the result - eleven tracks of D.I.Y. CHCH punk rock.

Time Is Now is due for release October 2nd 2009.
