Enjoy a musical adventure with your children and grandchildren in this one-hour concert. Discover the instruments of the orchestra in Benjamin Britten’s "Guide to the Orchestra", with narrator Robert van Mackelenberg leading the way. Then be delighted by the “Danses Characteristiques” from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite – ballet students will be very familiar with these tunes! Then enjoy the familiar music from the "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone" movie.
A fun and inspiring occasion for all the family – with a couple of surprises in store!
The Manukau Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Rupert D’Cruze for this special concert.
