Rock On a Mission 2

Young Rock Bands are rehearsing all over Auckland these holidays, gearing up to rock Snowplanet on the last Saturday of the October School Holidays.

Mark Ferguson will open and MC the concert from 3pm onwards which will feature performances by Lewis Eady Rock Academy and Rock School bands, 7 Auckland primary and intermediate schools bands, & invited Rockquest finalists – Adam Quigley, Gala Harwood and Levi Patel.

Entry to this second Rock on a Mission concert is by donation to the Starship Foundation.

Says organizer Miranda Rocca “Rock on a Mission is an opportunity for kids give back to a community need they relate to and are keen to support – kids helping kids. Snowplanet provides a fun, healthy, dynamic setting for some of Auckland’s youngest up and coming talent to showcase and share their music with the community”.

Brand new original songs produced by bands at the Lewis Eady 3 day Rock Academy (for musicians 13+yrs) and Rock School (for musicians 10+) will feature. These bands spend two days together in the school holidays at Pasadena Intermediate, Western Springs writing and rehearsing original songs, and then record and perform the songs in the MAINZ Studios on day 3. July school holidays produced 15 new songs and we expect the same number these school holidays.
