On display will be models of steam locomotives, traction engines, stationary steam engines, aircraft engines and other engineering models, plus tools and workshop equipment made by members. The main exhibition will be held in the Waipuna Hotel, with additional displays and some working demonstrations of typical machinery used for model engineering in the adjacent clubrooms, courtesy of Machinery House Ltd. The Society's model railway will be giving rides, weather permitting.
The Society was founded 50 years ago and has approximately 100 members. It meets monthly at the clubrooms and gives rides every Sunday afternoon on an 800m long 5" gauge track, using electric and steam powered locomotive models.
