Tony Parker and the New Orleans Joymakers at The Gables Tavern is proudly hosted by the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club.

Drummer and bandleader Tony Parker is a legendary champion of authentic New Orleans jazz. He has toured many countries including Europe with some of Australia’s finest musicians. He has also played internationally with jazz greats Wild Bill Davison, Art Hodes and Monty Sunshine.

After 30 years as the drummer for the famous Vintage Jazz Band he has now assembled a first-class group of musicians dedicated to preserving the spirit of “the joyful music of the New Orleans tradition”.

This new line-up will feature the outstanding talents of:

Art Cummins (trumpet)
Bob ward (trombone/vocals)
Andy Massie (clarinet/alto saxophone/vocals)
Les Sims (banjo)
John Keatley (tuba)
