Back after a hugely successful third year, the fourth annual Dove Pink Star Walk will take place on Saturday 17 October 2009 beneath a starlit Auckland sky and promises to be bigger, better and pinker than ever before.
In aid of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF), this fun 5km charity walk is open to men, women and children of all ages and begins at 7.00pm with the scenic Auckland Domain to be illuminated in pink for the occasion.
Proceeds from the walk will help to fund research for prevention and cure, whilst acknowledging the 2,500 women diagnosed and the 600 women who die of breast cancer each year in New Zealand.
Participants will once again be encouraged to get into the pink spirit by decorating and wearing their very own Dove wings - and to make it easier a pattern of the wings will be included in every event registration pack.
It promises to be a star studded night with prizes for the best pink outfit, goody bags, a spectacular pink fireworks display and entertainment to cheer people on to the finish line!
