Join the Auckland Baptist Tramping Club for an afternoon walk taking in the Albany Scenic Reserve and Gills Reserve. Two walks through regenerating kauri bush totalling about two-and-a-half hours walking. Transport can be arranged from central Auckland. Pleae bring day pack, boots, snacks, drink, wet weather gear. We explored two bush reserves near Albany, with Hugh and Di who had been creating tracks in these reserves as well as some in Torbay. It was interesting listening to them tell us about the native trees, including kauris. At one stage we carried some planks of wood that would be part of the improvements to the track, as a way of thanking them. During a break in our walk Brita shared Psalm 139, on how we are wonderfully made, and presented a challenge to show acts of kindness to people we find it hard to get on with.
