Parcel of Rogues were formed back in 1997 by Nick Billy Banjax Swan (banjo, mandolin, guitar, vocals) and Andy Dusty Bones Kerr (guitar, harmonica, bodhran, vocals). Both are members of NZ's finest Celtic rock band Jacky Tar. The most recent addition to the line up has been drummer Brad home cookin McMillan and bass player Kyle Slim Pickings Moseley, also of Jacky Tar. They formed out of a mutual love for the darker side of country music exhibited by bands such as The Bad Livers and Steve Earle etc; they also, given the nature of their members, have a Celtic sounding side. Other artists whose music they feature include Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Kevin Gordon as well as an ever growing original repertoire. This form of music is enjoying an ever growing audience in NZ and overseas as more and more people dust of their boots and banjos.
