Celebrated portrait artist Luke Hollis returns to Harrisons Gallery for his only solo exhibition this year, "Encore".

Few artists have the untamed, untainted and unaltered natural ability of Luke. His oil paintings subtly mix traditional stylings with clearly modern subjects to produce work that is effective and attractive, both in the subject matter and the use of paint.

Harrisons Gallery manager Durrelle Green says “People ask me who do you think will be New Zealand’s next big artist or whose art would you buy if you were going to invest? My answer is very simple, Luke Hollis – without a doubt, Luke Hollis”.

Luke was born in the Bay of Plenty but now lives in Auckland. Luke's 2008 exhibition at The Artist's Room in Dunedin was a sellout so don't miss this show at Harrisons Gallery from November 14th to December 7th.
