With two stages, a host of celebrated local and international performers, workshops, demonstrations, the APRA Uke Can Do It song-writing competition, stalls and an open mic opportunity for community groups and soloists to strut their strums, the BNZ Ukulele Festival 2009 is expected to be the biggest and best yet.
Along with a 1300-strong children’s ukulele orchestra known as the Kiwileles, the legendary Tongan ukulele virtuoso Sione Aleki is returning and the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra will be strumming up a storm on the mainstage.
The BNZ Ukulele Festival 2009 is a fun packed day of family entertainment guaranteed to put a smile on your face. There's something for everyone and its FREE!
