Join the Auckland Baptist Tramping Club for a full day walk along the coastline from Orewa to Waiwera, and on to the clifftop lookout at Wenderholm. An optional pot-luck BBQ will be held afterwards at a member's home nearby. Transport can be arranged from central Auckland. Please bring day pack, boots, lunch, drink, wet weather gear. We took advantage of a low tide to walk along the coast from Hatfields to Waiwera, followed by a walk up to the clifftop lookout and down to the Wenderholm carpark. A few of us had a look inside Coudrey House. Afterwards we went to a member's home at Red Beach for the club's end-of-year BBQ. The formal part of the evening included some games, carol singing around the piano and guitar, and a reflection on the Star of Bethlehem.
