The Andy Smith Quartet at The Gables Tavern is proudly hosted by the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club.

Guitarist Andy Smith has been playing jazz around Auckland for the last seven years, working with some of the best musicians in town. In 2008, he graduated from the New Zealand School of Music with a Master of Music degree.

Also appearing for the first time at the Gables will be the outstanding young trumpeter Finn Scholes.

The line up will be completed by the highly experienced Aaron Coddel on double bass and Barry Young on drums.

The program for this engagement will include a selection of jazz standards as well as some more contemporary pieces from musicians such as Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny and John Scofield.
