Ross Mullins and the Snaps at The Gables Tavern is proudly hosted by the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club.

Ross Mullins is a pianist and songwriter whose songs are distinguished by laid-back jazzy melodies and witty lyrics inspired by New Zealand urban life, Ross has also played in various jazz and rock groups around the Auckland area over the years. For his appearance at Gables he will be joined by long-time collaborators bassist Chris Rowlands (also a talented vocalist who belts out standards in the swinging Sinatra style) and multi-instrumentalist Jim Langabeer (saxophones, clarinet and flute) who featured recently on a list of “musician’s musicians” in the magazine NZ Musician. The group is completed by the versatile Trevor Thwaites on drums and Richard Singleton on trumpet. The set will include songs from Ross’ six albums including Tidemarks which sets New Zealand poetry to music, new unreleased material and some jazz standards.
