Join the Auckland Baptist Tramping Club for an afternoon walk through the native bush of Centennial Park to Campbells Bay beach and return along a different track through the park. Transport can be arranged from central Auckland. Pleae bring day pack, boots or strong footwear, snacks, drink, wet weather gear. Twenty people and one dog did an interesting walk from East Coast Rd through Centennial Park to the coast, seeing some World War II bunkers on the way. We returned along the lovely Avenue of Remembrance, pausing for a few minutes to listen to a reading of Psalm 148 a poem of praise to the Creator. Afterwards we went to a member's home nearby for afternoon tea.
