The Volunteer and Emergency Services Open Day is proudly hosted by the New Zealand Fire Service.
Emergency Services groups will join forces at the Telstra Clear Events Centre on Sunday 22 November 2009 to provide the public a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into their daily roles.
Organisations including the New Zealand Fire Service, New Zealand Police, St John Ambulance, SPCA, Urban Search and Rescue along with other community groups to demonstrate the importance of volunteer groups in our communities and show the types of incidents our emergency services deal with every day.
Live displays include jaws of life and a kitchen fire demo!
