Building sustainable communities at the Royal Oak Market.
This exciting new market in Auckland will be a melting pot for the community, incorporating artisan products, fresh local produce, craft, art, fashion and design together with an engaging selection of community stalls and volunteer projects.
The first Royal Oak Market is being held on Sunday 22 November and will feature over 40 stallholders selling french pastries, olive oil, cheese, gourmet sausages, smoked fish, honey, fresh fruit and vegetables. Plus local artists, jewellery, ceramics, kids clothing, gift ideas and much more.
What’s unique about the market is it’s all about community – it’s a place where people can come together to learn about what is happening and purchase great products from local producers. The market is being hosted by CCS Disability Action, a not-for-profit organisation that supports people with disabilities, and is a practical and enjoyable way for them to demonstrate their commitment to building inclusive communities.
Come for a quick visit, or stay for the day and enjoy some delicious food and coffee in the garden. It’s set to be a fantastic day with great stalls, live music, the opportunity to hear talks on sustainable living and gardening practices and the chance to engage with local volunteer projects.
The Royal Oak Market is being held on Sunday 22 November, 10am – 2pm at 14 Erson Avenue, Royal Oak. Close to public transport and parking is available (by gold coin donation) at Royal Oak Intermediate School, cnr Symonds and Trafalgar Street, Royal Oak.
