“Tu Tangata is a refreshing view of raranga (the Maori art of weaving) and a celebration of maternal gentleness. Erenora Puketapu-Hetet and her whanau guide you on a journey of learning and a passion inherited through the need to nurture and retain the arts. Erenora begins this frank and open dialogue with the camera by singing an oriori to her part-English mokopuna. Her explanation of this traditional lullaby creates the whariki as a foundation to build the story of her experiences on.” — Lawrence Wharerau
