This annual concert celebrates the best of New Zealand music. It features two works by composer Douglas Lilburn; Landfall in Unknown Seas – a poem by New Zealand poet Allen Curnow set to music by Lilburn and narrated by Bill Manhire. Manhire will also narrate Lilburn’s Three Poems of the Sea. There is also a new composition by Jack Body, entitled, My Name is Mok Bhon.
In addition, two young NZ composers are featured - Lissa Meridan’s new electroacoustic work: a quiet fury and Dugal McKinnon’s Blue Kisses Green.
