YESTERDAY... the Beatles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they're here to stay or at least for a single day in WELL-ING -TON. I'd love to hide away for an evening of reminiscing.

'Penny Lane' would have to be my favourite. The words of the song always paint such wonderful pictures of the people that are mentioned in the song.

    "Yesterday"
one of the songs that will never die.
friends will always gather together, sit down around the table, bring the guitar, play that song and sing along.
this song will always be part of our past, present and future.
it's a sad song but I believe in yesterday.
Past is there to look at and to use it to change the future and smooth the present.

Let It Be is my favourite as it is one of those songs that soothes a troubled mind. It says everything is gonna' be ok and it usually always is.
Mother Mary comes to me speaking words of Wisdom...

I am not a fan of songs that fade out as they often sound unfinished. This song is an exception to that rule.

"Twist and shout" has to be one of my favourites as I hear John Lennon lost his voice for ages after they sung it and he sang it so passionately. It reminds means of letting loose and lettign your hair down and going a little wild. It is great one to dance to!

Imagine has to be the best song ever. The words really sum up how we can live to make the world a better place and it would be great if everyone followed the advice. I quoted a portion of the song in my final email when i resigned from a job with no job to go to, but i had had enought.

Eleanor Rigby: "All the lonely people, where do they all come from?"
This song is a musical and poetic masterpiece. Whoever would have thought The Beatles could achieve musical perfection with a string octet? Love it!
