Page Macrae Kaimai Classic

The Page Macrae Kaimai Classic is a five stage, 67km multisport event designed to challenge all - from the elite to the less experienced. You can enter as an individual or a team.

The five disciplines are: mountain run, MTB, kayak, road cycle, road run.

There are tons of spot prizes thanks to Smith's Sports Shoes, Mizuno, Waimarino Kayaks, Rocket Compression Garments and Balance Nutrition.

PLUS $500 cash prize money for the first placed individual male and first placed individual female.

STAGE 1: 5km bush run with a couple of challenging climbs
STAGE 2: 17km MTB. An interesting and different course taking in the Ruahine Power Channel. This course has proven to be a real winner, but tough going when it rains.
STAGE 3: 11km safe, scenic and enjoyable paddle down the Wairoa River past Waimarino Adventure Park to the Wairoa River bridge at Bethlehem.
STAGE 4: 23km flat to undulating road bike course around Te Puna, starting and finishing at the Wairoa River Bridge.
STAGE 5: 11km road run, 8km up and 3km down road run over the mighty Minden. If you need to catch your breath this run offers an amazing view over the Bay.
STAGE 6: Relax and enjoy lunch at The Te Puna Country Pub- all part of your entry fee (excludes school teams). Extra meals for your support crew etc. can be purchased.
