Dr Judith Dell Panny, Honorary Research Fellow, Massey University, will talk about tradition and symbolism in John Bevan Ford's paintings. She will focus on references to myths, legends and history in Ford's paintings, and delve into his use of techniques from carving, weaving, kowhaiwhai and tukutuku.
