The Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon is New Zealand's largest marathon with more people running or walking this event each year than anywhere else in NZ.

The course is one exact lap of Lake Rotorua, set in the heart of the North Island's thermal area. In 2009 we celebrate the 45th anniversary with every marathon finisher receiving a commemorative medal along with the ASICS finisher t-shirt.

We recommend you experience this great marathon, view our spectacular scenery, and meet our adventurous people. The Lion Foundation 5km and 10km Fun Runs are also on for those wishing to complete a shorter distance, plus ASICS Sports Expo, Pasta Party, Prize Giving and Sunday Breakfast.
