The Blues Session Double Bill
NEIL WORBOYS AND THE REAL TIME LINERS:
NEIL WORBOYS - Guitar-Vocal-Harmonica, began writing and performing songs in Wellington nearly 40 years ago and was a founding member of the Bulldogs All-star Goodtime Band. He continued to play jug band and roots music in the 1980s and early 1990s while living in Gisborne, where he first met MAURICE PRIESTLEY. They played together in several jug bands before forming the roots rock outfit the Customliners. Worboys took up a teaching post in the Capital in 1995 where he formed the Wellington Heads, a jazz/rhythm n' blues band. Priestley plays assorted guitar styles and banjo with the rest of the line-up being BILL WOOD - Guitar, DANNY SHAW - Drums, GEOFF KEITH - Bass, STEPHEN BENNETT - Keyboards.

BLUES BUFFET - Featuring Erna Ferry
The Blues Buffet, features a powerful line-up from the River City (Wanganui), which includes Fred Loveridge (guitar, vocals), Murray Loveridge (bass,vocals), Nigel Bateman(drums, vocals) and Paul Wilson (keyboards, vocals). Between the members of the band they has performed with some of New Zealand’s leading bands - Quincy Converse, Captain Custard, The Lick, Lounge Sweet and Jazz Connection.
Blues Buffet’s special guest is Manawatu’s queen of the blues Erna Ferry (vocals & harmonica).
