ROCKONZ Eureka Rock & Retro Concert at the Christchurch Town Hall, Sat 16 May, stars Shane Cortese (TV Star and entertainer) & the Class of 58, playing the songs of Rock and Roll era. Frankie Stevens (The Castaways, NZ Idol, Cabaret and stage show star, who receives the Rockonz Hall of Fame 2009 International Star award the night before at the Rockonz Hall of Fame awards) sings his hit ballads and songs from the 70's. The Beat Girls present their great 60's girl sound routine and the Rockonz Hall of Fame Stars Peter Williams (The Groove), Pat Kearns (Mark Anthony), Cecile & Dion Murphy, (Sabra), Norm Bland (Village Gate) backed by the Peter Sowden/Brian Ringrose Band, About Time with Anthony Easterbrook-Carter and Lorainne Liles, bring back the memories of the 60's & 70's and create a great sound to dance and sing along to.
The Concert is the high point of a week-long Festival, celebrating the music, dance and lifestyle of the late 50's 60's & 70's.
