Direct from shows in Wellington and Upper Hutt during the NZ International Comedy Festival, Wellington comedy favourite Fergus Aitken teams up with Christchurch comedian Shay Horay for an adult only standup & variety comedy show that will leave you in stitches.

TRUE STORIES is a fresh selection of observations, questions, adventures, fun facts and myths. Some of life's little mysteries will be expanded, explored and exploded!

With a stand-up comedy style based strongly in physical theatre and storytelling Fergus spins a yarn – and some of it’s even true! “I love observational comedy”, says Aitken, “Some of the funniest things I’ve ever heard are true . . . like the actor who took herbal viagra which didn’t work until the next day just as he went for his important TV audition . . . or the deer hunters whose bicycles were stolen by recently released, trained circus bears . . . or my young daughter who came up and innocently handed her mum a poo . . .”

Recently Fergus received a standing ovation at a nudist festival... true and amusing!

Fergus brings his latest stand-up TRUE STORIES to The Loons to appear with Shay Horay in two evenings of hilarity, also playing his alter ego Mr Fungus, ‘New Zealand’s Loudest Mime’. Fergus is in regular nation wide demand as a stand-up comic, corporate presenter and physical theatre teacher.

Shay Horay is so funny he should have been twins! Also known as "The Famous Rubberband Boy" Shay Horay is renowned for his comic timing, natural physical comedy and exquisite improvisational skills. Holder of the “World Record" for rubberbands on his face and current "New Zealand Pogostick Daredevil".

Shay is well known in Christchurch, having appeared many times at the World Buskers Festival and with guest appearances in world class global cabaret phenomena Le Clique at The Famous Speigeltent. Shay Horay will be well known to Loons audiences for numerous roles including the legendary Keith Preene, master of bingo and one sexy dude.
