Punchy, erotic, sensual, political, edgy – Sonya Renee’s performance poetry is all that and more. Described variously as a “force of nature”, an activist and a “spoken word artist”, Sonya’s performance schedule is as exhaustive as that of a major rock star. In her poem “What We Deserve” she roundly concludes that “we deserve better!” Her poem “Connections” is a riff on tagging, on making connections between one another and the world at large.
