Twinings Mother's Day Afternoon Tea

Twinings tea is joining forces with The Nurture Foundation and the Heritage Auckland to create the perfect Mother’s Day celebration in the historic surroundings of the Heritage Auckland’s Grand Tearoom.

Nurture Ambassador Allyson Gofton will partner with Twinings’ Master Tea Taster Matt Greenwood to match delicious treats from Allyson’s new book, ‘Bake’, with the finest Twinings tea selections. You’ll discover the stories and secrets behind the world’s most famous tea blends and savour the delights of Allyson’s new recipes.

Nurture is inviting Aucklanders to bring their mothers, daughters, sisters and friends to come celebrate Mother’s Day in grand style. Nurture is committed to helping New Zealanders have families. Through research, Nurture aims to find new ways to predict and prevent reproductive problems, and improve treatments for couples unable to conceive or carry a child safely to term.

All guests will be treated to a glass of bubbles on arrival followed by a seated afternoon tea where Allyson and Matt will guide them through the selection of baked goods and recommended tea matches. The afternoon will conclude with a short fundraising auction. Allyson’s newly released Bake cookbook will be available for purchase and Allyson will be on hand to personally sign them.

Proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will go to The Nurture Foundation. Tickets are $50 each and are available from Ticketek (www.ticketek.co.nz or phone 0800 842 538).
