Waiheke Choral Society’s production of JM Barrie's Peter Pan has a cast and crew of 50-odd Islanders (including 20+ children)!
Some of the amazingly talented actors taking part are Ben Kara as Peter Pan, Bruce Davis-Goff as Captain Hook, Forrest Denize as Wendy Darling, and Pirates Andy Spence (Smee) and Seth Tetley-Jones (Starkey). Michael Smart and Kit Reilly are the Darling brothers John and Michael, with Gavin Smart and Lyn Kemeys as Mr and Mrs Darling. Maya Spence plays the Indian princess Tiger Lily, Jules Ardern takes the roles of Nana (the children’s canine nanny) and the Indian chief, and Janine James plays Liza.
And yes, there will be children flying above the Artworks stage! The set is quite innovative…
Due to popular demand, there will be three more shows: Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th at 7pm, and a matinee on Saturday at 2pm. Ticket prices are $20 full price, $15 concession, $10 children or $50 for a family. Tickets are available NOW from Cut ‘n Curl hairdressers in Oneroa, or by phoning 372-1000 and leaving your name and number, and you'll get a call back.
