FOAMY ED return, after a two year hiatus, to play one hell of a party at the end of May. If you do anything for NZ music month, make sure this gig is it! Foamy Ed play a powerful, engaging and energetic set; if it doesn’t get your blood flowing and warm you up, nothing will! Formed at Greenbay High School 1996 , this will mark the end of the road for Auckland’s 4-piece (until they get offered big money to reform in 10 years time!) As worded by bass player Lani Purkis (also in ELEMENO P), “We’ve had enough, a bit rough, up the duff, but still all muff” – precisely!
The night will be supported by their longtime mates...
THE MURDER CHORD will be kicking off the night. An incendiary duo consisting of members from ‘Real Real Sick’ and ‘Missing Teeth’. Think Dresden Dolls meets Slayer, “potential stars in the making” according to the NZ Heralds Time Out.
Ska & Metal just had a baby and they called it DETH BECOMES SHANE. Carrying on the proud tradition of west Auckland punk, featuring members from ‘Missing Teeth’, ‘Roofdog’, ‘Hilt’ and the singer direct from his own shower... debut album ‘Shane’s Addiction’ out now on Puppy Killer Records.
Having recently come off a nationwide tour in support of their self-titled debut album,
West Auckland’s longest serving, hardest working party band ROOFDOG will be rounding out the night.
And not to forget the HEAVY TACO SOUND SYSTEM, featuring the one and only DJ TACO (of ‘339 Massive Crew’ fame) & the HEAVY TACO CREW who will be rocking the party throughout the night.
Door Sales only, don’t miss out! Doors Open 8.30pm, First Band 9.15pm.
