A vertiable rhythmic soup, as BrazilBeat Sound System joins Auckland collective The Retainers and Dub Asylum at the new Live Bar. In the wake of Oblivion closing, the Live Bar is born, renovated, redecorated, upgraded.

BrazilBeat Sound System is an electronic band featuring DJ and live percussion. Heavily spiked with guaraná, they are a high-octane rush from head to toe. BBSS originated in San Francisco, California, and have been uplifting crowds across New Zealand since 2001. Their genre-bending mashup of roots, baile-funk, breakbeats, dub is pumped up by tight percussive arrangements. BBSS released their debut album “Nova” in November 2007 on their own label Belezza.
