The Wellington Film Society enables you to see in a cinema a range of international cinema you are unlikely to see elsewhere. Membership gives you free entry to all our screenings. Full year members also qualify for generous discounts at the annual Wellington Film Festival held each year in mid July, as well as discounts at Wellington cinemas and Aro Video.

Film Society membership is open to everyone. However, we operate on a subscription basis because (with just a few exceptions) we have non-commercial screening rights, and must screen to members only. It is easy to Join, and membership runs for 12 months from month of joining. We also offer an upgradeable "Three Film Sampler" to make it easier for potential members to sample our films.

All screenings at the Paramount, 25 Courtenay Place, 6.15pm Mondays from the beginning of March to the end of November (except for public holidays and during the Wellington Film Festival).
