This talented Cuban musician succeeded the legendary Ruben Gonzelez as pianist for the Buena Vista Social Club and toured the world with the great Ibrahim Ferrer.
One of the most gifted and charismatic musicians to emerge from Cuba in recent times, Fonseca possesses a unique percussive style, his compositions drawing on his Afro-Cuban heritage and deep love of jazz, funk and soul.
With his quintet and dynamite stage presence, his show ignites Cuban traditions!
Roberto Fonseca will perform in the Pacific Blue Note (Wellington Town Hall) as part of the Wellington Jazz Festival.
