The perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. Bring your picnic, find a spot on the grass, spread out your blanket and enjoy a programme of your favourite light classics. Concert highlights include the William Tell Overture, the great tenor aria Nessun Dorma and the exquisite ‘Flower Duet’ from Lakmé. Kids especially will love the Orchestra’s selection of magical movie music. Come early and enjoy pre-concert entertainment from the Pelorus Trust Wellington Brass Band. The evening will end with a bang as the VWO pulls out all the stops for Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture complete with cannons and bells.
Picnic food and only non alcoholic beverages can be brought into the grounds.
Alcoholic beverages and food are available for purchase. No beach umbrellas permitted.
Under 5's are free.
Gates open 3.00pm.
Pre-concert Entertainment 3.30pm.
Main concert 5.00pm.
