A fantastic recreational must do!
The Walking Festival is a great weekend of fun, fellowship, and non competitive leisure walking.
On the Saturday, walks of marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), and 10km distances will go through some of the stunning bush and forest scenery tracks in the 'Redwoods' and 'Whaka' forests.
Saturaday night is for dinner and dancing.
On the Sunday 30km, 20km, and 10km distances will go through the city CBD, gardens and parks, thermal reserves, lakes hore and bird sanctuary and points of Rotorua historical and cultural interest.
Come on your own or make up a group. You will soon make more friends or probably meet up with old ones out walking in Rotorua. Hundreds of overseas, out of town, and locals participate each year.
