Set in the beautiful, traffic-free environment of Nelson's Founders Heritage Park, MarchFest is Nelson's hip harvest hop festival celebrating craft beers, regional wines, slow food and eclectic music.

MarchFest is completely weatherproof – all activity areas have the potential to be sheltered from sun, wind or rain.

MarchFest is booking quality local, national and international acts – no bland and lifeless covers bands for this event.

Cool stuff for kids and families too.

MarchFest is geared towards people who make informed choices about their food, drink, musical taste and want to attend a family-friendly event, which is safe, fun and a bit different to the run-of-the-mill festival. An event for people who want to savour.. not just consume!

The Music:
We are rapt to announce that reggae giants Wicked Draw will be headlining this year's MarchFest! Supporting them we have: The Aviators (hi-octane funk), Sarah Brown (femme pop), Hobnail Boots (Celtic country-roots), Chimuka (African Marimba band) and special guests from UK/Australia award-winning folk artists James Fagan & Nancy Kerr with their special guest Kate Fagan.

MarchFest celebrates Nelson’s craft brewing tradition, and will feature previously unavailable festival beers created by local brewers especially for the event. These are 'Fat Lip' (Founders Organic Brewery, Nelson), 'In the Interest of Science' (The Golden Bear, Mapua). 'Monkey's Uncle Lager' (Monkey Wizard Brewery, Riwaka). 'Easter Bunny' (The Mussel Inn, Onekaka), 'Jose’s Cerveza Ambar' (Tasman Brewing, Richmond) and Marchfest Ale (Townshend's Brewery,, Moutere).

OTHER BEERS and CIDERS available: Old Mout Cidré, (Redwood Cellars, Moutere), Epic Pale Ale (Epic Brewing, Howick), Moa Marzenbier (Moa, Blenheim), Renaissance American Pale Ale (Renaissance, Blenheim), Three Boys Pilsner (Three Boys, Christchurch), Emerson's Bookbinder (Emerson's, Dunedin) and Poplar Brown (Twisted Hop, ChCh)
