Opening the 2009 Concert Season on a full nationwide tour, Chamber Music New Zealand is delighted to present the return of New York’s Eroica Trio. Their debut New Zealand tour in 2003 packed out halls around the country and had critics ecstatic in their praise.

All three women are top-ranked award winning soloists, and last year the trio celebrated their 20th anniversary. Sara and Erika have been playing together since they were twelve years old, and Australian violinist Susie Park joined in 2006 replacing Adele Pena.

The trio have just released their latest album, American Journey. Along with arrangements of Porgy and Bess and West Side Story, the album features the premier recording of Mark O'Connor's Poets and Prophets which is inspired by the music and spirit of country music legend Johnny Cash.
