Feel like playing a round of golf or ever thought about taking up golf as a hobbie? What a way to spend a Sunday - having some fun, while supporting Tokomaru School in their efforts to raise funds to build an adventure playground. Come along and join us! This year we have added a couple of categories to try and encourage some new and budding golfers along to the event.
A 6-hole competition is aimed at the younger golfer from around 9 years of age (although a talented younger golfer may be considered). Limited golfing equipment may be available for use if required. First in first served. Booking is essential. Cost $5 per person. Aim: to get the ball into the hole in the smallest number of hits. The competitors will tee off at 9:00 am from Hole#13. This is a very cheap family outing!
A 12-hole competition is aimed at the non-golfing adults or casual golfers. Cost $12 per person. The 12-hole tee-off will begin after the 18-hole golfers have gone from Hole#1.

If you would like to compete in the "golfer" category (i.e. 18-hole game), please phone Huia at the Linton Camp Golf Club (06) 351 9625 to book a tee-off time from 9.00am. Cost $20.
REFRESHMENTS: BBQ sausages, steak or chicken sammies and drinks will be available for purchase on the course. Various hot food items, cakes and drinks will also be available at the club house.
RAFFLES: Various raffles (food and drink, others) at $1-2 per ticket.
PRIZES: We have a great line up of prizes. We endeavour to have a prize for all competitors if we know how many to expect. Booking a time would be appreciated.
PRIZE GIVING: We expect to have all golfers in and scores tallied by ~2.00 p.m. Prize giving will begin as soon as this process is completed.
Directions: Drive to the Linton Army Camp entrance (~2-3 km from the Linton BP turn off). Please note: this is NZ army property and the gates are guarded. You will ID (e.g. driver's licence and car registration number). Tell the gate keeper that you are there to play in the golf tournament and then follow the flags/ signs to the golf club house where the tournament is to be held.
