Their relentless tour schedule and onstage antics have earned them a reputation as one of the most energetic and hardest working bands around. The trio embodies a vitality that has long since made its way into the recent rock and punk circuits. They aren’t a rehearsed set of messages or stage antics, no glitter, no make-up, no phony sass.

Having spent the better part of the past four years on the road, this last year has seen Hurricane Die sweeping through the music press, picking up a bevy of accolades including a spot in Q Magazine’s Top 50 songs of 2008 for ‘Sideways Here We Come’ and a four-page feature and “recommended” album review in Artrocker. Latest album Promises Promises received a 4/5 album review in the Guardian (with Jude Rogers heralding that “other post-punk apostles should come gather at this alter, and prepare to kick the bucket”), and an 8/10 from NME’s Camilla Pia, who reported that their “relentless, unsettling sound is every bit as thrilling as their heavily punctuated name suggests”.
