Acclaimed Australian theatre company Bell Shakespeare make their New Zealand debut with a stunning adaptation of Shakespeare’s Venus and Adonis. A must see for lovers of Shakespeare that will equally appeal to fans of cabaret and live music. Melissa Madden Gray and Susan Prior portray the multi-faceted goddess of love through verse, conversation and song, accompanied by a live band. In their hands, the famous poem, Shakespeare’s subversive re-working of Ovid’s original love story, is a performance piece that veers from drama to cabaret, farce to burlesque, as Venus uses every feminine wile at her disposal to try and win over an indifferent Adonis. A hugely entertaining look at lust and love, sexual stereotypes and mythical goddesses from Australia’s innovative touring Shakespeare company.

Auckland Festival 2009 brings the city alive next March with a dazzling programme of more than 200 arts and entertainment events, packed into eighteen exciting days. The biennial festival is a feast of theatre, dance, concerts, cabaret, exhibitions, family events and more, featuring some of the finest national and international artists and companies.

Appealing to the other's ego - particularly if they are male..

I've always believed that the quiet, suffering approach with the use of the word "fine" when asked if I'm ok tends to do the trick. There is something about that little word that sparks fear into men's hearts!

Making me think it is my idea is a very cunning trick that I still have not fully cottoned on to.

The alluring way women wear clothes can hook a man, as well as appropriately-timed tears when they don't get their way.

Damn near any woman wearing only a mans\'s white business shirt.....with one or two buttons done up.... You girl's already knew that!

use their body, eg when shopping "this is look nice on me", I want this. If they have that sexy body and they use it.

The best trick of all is the make them think its all their idea and then slightly resist when they suggest back to you your idea,
then give in -and gain a double score.
conning them to do things your way, thinking its their and making them think they've convinced of it too.,.,.,

Women have very sensual bodies and can often get whatever they want by either, battering eyelids, showing a bit of clevage or leg!!!

everybody dreams about happiness, but nobody know what it is. May be, you are happy today, in this moment... you could understand after some time only.

Tears are old hat, might have worked for our mothers or grandmothers but not now. If it's some chore that has to be done, try starting the job yourself - that way it will get done, or you might find they come and take over. If you make a mess of it, well you've got plenty of excuses and they should have done it for you in the first place! Now I'd better get outside and pull that motor mower apart .......

I have to always found that going for the subtle approach can work, usually just wearing my regular office work clothes but letting him know that underneath is a suspender belt and all that goes with it makes him pretty happy to make dinner, do the dishes and all while I sit on the couch with a glass of wine!

For an oil and filter change all my hubby needs is a cup of tea and a cuddle. A little more may be offered for the larger chores - I offered a wee "incentive" to get the house painted before summer's close and it was completed in 3 days!!!

that certain look that tells you that you know if you say another thing or do a further action it is really going to be trouble. Always stops you going too far but so works for females:)

When you suggest something and he disagrees, then the best way is for you agree with his suggestion and say what a good idea. Then he predisposed to think more kindly of your suggestion. Eventually after a week he makes a new suggestion - which actually was what you suggested in the first place but by this time he think it's his great idea.

Most cunning trick to get their way? - Simply being a woman works! Men fall for it all the time.
