Ladi6 is playing at The Festival Club, part of Red Square - the heart of Auckland Festival 2009; a multi-venue hub based in the Aotea Centre precinct, incorporating The Famous Spiegeltent, the Festival Club, and the Stella Artois Festival Bar. With easy access to The Civic, the Town Hall, Aotea Centre, SkyCity Theatre and the Basement (home to The Fringe), Red Square is the Festival party zone — the place to start and end a day of festival experiences.

New Zealand soulstress, our Ladi of hip hop, Ladi6 (Karoline Tamati) is renowned for her energetic live performances, sublime soulful vocals and conscious lyrics. Her distinctive voice has featured on some of the top underground albums to come out of New Zealand in the last decade and her vocals feature on standout tracks by some of Aotearoa’s finest talent, including Shapeshifter, Scribe and Fat Freddy’s Drop and internationals such as top German hip hop artist Sepalot.

Auckland Festival 2009 brings the city alive next March with a dazzling programme of more than 200 arts and entertainment events, packed into eighteen exciting days. The biennial festival is a feast of theatre, dance, concerts, cabaret, exhibitions, family events and more, featuring some of the finest national and international artists and companies.
