As Hamish Keith wrote in 1989 “Almost every Auckland citizen who has reached an age given to nostalgia can recall a moment of magic in the Mighty Civic.” This hour long film made by award-winning Auckland film makers Peter Wells and Stewart Main (Desperate Remedies) is a “beautiful piece of film-making and a delight to both eye and the ear.
