THE BIG SING 2009, the Wellington Secondary Schools' Choral Festival, will be held this year in the first week of June at the Wellington Town Hall. With the assistance of Creative New Zealand, the Secondary Schools' Choral Festivals will, over the next three months, involve over 6,000 young people nationwide in eleven regional festivals.
This year, 37 choirs from 23 schools from throughout the Wellington region, including the Hutt Valley, Porirua and Wairarapa, will be taking part in the annual Wellington Regional Festival.
Daytime sessions (10.30 am and 2 pm) are free
There are Gala Concerts on both evenings
