The D1NZ National Drifting Championship Round 4 heads to Taupo on June 12th and 13th – For an Action packed 2day event, time is ticking down to see who will win the 2009 Championship and become NZ’s Official Drift King, In the lead is Gary “Gaz” Whiter trying to defend his 2008 Drift King title close in behind him is Mad Mike in his Red Bull RX7 so its sure to be a tantalizing Saturday with the gloves off as 2006 Drift King Fanga Dan Woolhouse sit in at 3rd position chasing the two massively.
The Field now stretches to over 50 drifters and could reach the biggest in NZ’s history if the team at D1NZ and drivers get behind it, The D1Rookie Championship will take place on Friday June 12th with the D1NZ Championship drivers practicing.
Saturday June 13th will see The D1NZ Championship take center stage and with an exiciting field of Drifters lined up ready to battle it out, the current championship standings are:
