This is a Carving in Ice production of Crimp's 1997 play Attempts on her Life, directed by Gaye Poole (Cosi, Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Half Life).
Described by critic Gail Pittaway as "an excursion into 'what if ' land" ,Attempts on her Life is a "piece about a character who never appears and about whom no coherent story emerges, a 'whodunit' without the 'who'."... "It is all most enjoyably alienating and engaging at the same time....The production is very slick, with quick changes of scene and mood, made possible by a constant onstage ensemble with wardrobe and props visible in the edges of the square".
